Two of Kerastase's most popular heat protectants are the Genesis Défense Thermique and the Chroma Absolu Serum Chroma Thermique. While using any heat protectant is a must when using hot tools, we are going to break down the differences to help you decide which is best for your hair.

Both thermiques smooth the surface of the hair fibre and provide heat, humidity, and frizz protection.

Defense Thermique comes from Kerastase's Genesis range, which was developed specifically to prevent hair-fall and strengthen hair. This lightweight, leave-in lotion helps to fortify your hair fibre while protecting it from heat damage.

Serum Chroma Thermique is the heat protectant from the new Chroma Absolu line, which was created for coloured or sensitized hair to preserve colour from fading and increase shine, all while protecting from heat damage.
