get to know aaron.Hi! I’m Aaron!
I am a creative busybody: full-time Master Hairstylist, full-time hobbiest. I believe that education is the key to success: whether that be in your career or your hobbies. I live by an all-in commitment approach - my SASO team likes to tease that I don’t just take an interest in something, I become an expert. I have a long running passion for plants and learning everything there is to know about them, including their Latin names, their root systems, different soils, light needs, variegation, irrigation, propagation, indoor, outdoor… the list honestly just keeps going. I am now known affectionately as the Salon Society Plant Daddy - in charge of keeping our salon jungle lush and happy and educating staff and clients about how to be a plant person! I recently discovered a passion for pottery and leapt in head first, learning everything there was to know about the pottery processes, different clays, glazes, additives, techniques…and I still have so much more to learn. I have started my own little pottery business on the side selling one-of-a-kind handmade pieces that reflect my individual style. Check out my work and progress on my shop’s Instagram @aiden.amina. |

In 2009, I hit the ground running as I graduated top of my class from the Blanche McDonald Centre and it feels like I haven’t stopped since! I participated as a stylist in 5 seasons of Vancouver Fashion Week, 2 seasons with Saskatchewan Fashion Week, and had my work featured in numerous magazines and publications. I took advanced training from Bumble and Bumble, L’Oreal, and La Biosthetique - and am still continuing to take part in hair training courses and retreats. Time has flown by and I now play the role of educator at Salon Society, mentoring and helping to develop our new talent. I have a lot of knowledge to share and find teaching highly rewarding.
I have worked hard to hone my skills and am a specialist in blondes, vivids, and colour corrections. The three things I always tell my clients are:
