get to know aaron.Hi! I’m Aaron.
I’m a master hairstylist, lead educator, and proud creative busybody. When something sparks my interest, I don’t just dabble — I dive all the way in. Education is at the core of everything I do, whether that’s hair, plants, pottery, or anything else I’ve decided to obsess over. Hair has been my OG passion since day one. I graduated top of my class from the Blanche Macdonald Centre in 2009 and haven’t slowed down since. My work has taken me through multiple seasons of Vancouver Fashion Week and Saskatchewan Fashion Week, along with features in magazines and publications. I’ve completed advanced training with Bumble and Bumble, L’Oréal, and La Biosthétique, along with CADO certification and in-depth, hands-on training with celebrity curl artists. I continue to invest in education through courses, retreats, and ongoing hands-on learning. Today, I’m proud to be a lead educator at Salon Society, mentoring the next generation of stylists and sharing the knowledge I’ve built over the years. In the chair, I specialize in blonding, colour corrections, vivids, and curls. I’m a curl specialist with curly hair myself, so I truly understand the realities of working with texture — especially in the Saskatchewan climate. Wind, dryness, frizz, and everything in between. My approach is thoughtful, customized, and rooted in working with your natural hair to create results that look great, feel wearable, and grow out beautifully. |
Outside the salon, my curiosity shows up in other creative ways. I’m affectionately known as the Salon Society “Plant Daddy,” keeping our salon jungle thriving and educating staff and clients on how to actually keep plants alive. I’ve also fallen headfirst into pottery, where I create one-of-a-kind handmade pieces through my side business, Aiden Amina — another outlet for creativity, process, and craft.
