What is TWIST Microneedling?

Microneedling, also known as Collagen Induction Therapy or Mesotherapy, is a cosmetic procedure that uses tiny needles to puncture the skin and stimulate the production of collagen and elastin. factors, vitamins, minerals, PRP and amino acids. ​​These two naturally occurring proteins enhance your appearance by restoring structure and elasticity to the skin.

TWIST is the only microneedling system that uses its motor to actively retrieve needles from the skin, guaranteeing maximum comfort and precision at every needle length.
The TWIST needles the skin at an extraordinary rate of 150 strokes/second. This creates numerous controlled micro-channels in the targeted layers which trigger the non-emergency wound-healing process of the skin. Dormant fibroblasts become active and multiply, increasing the production of new collagen and elastin fibres without causing any scarring. As a result, the skin appears smoother, tighter, and more even in tone. Scars and wrinkles are minimized and skin cells remain healthy and active for a long time following treatment.

How Does Microneedling Work?

Microneedling treatment usually takes an hour or less. Although it is minimally invasive, we often apply a numbing cream to alleviate any potential pain or discomfort.
During the procedure, one of our medically trained TWIST specialists will set the device to the desired needle depth and move it over the area to be treated. TWIST lightly stamps the skin, puncturing into the second layer, or epidermis. The procedure triggers a repair response, stimulating the production of new collagen and elastin.

When Will I See Results?

Most clients see results shortly after the first treatment, as the healing process triggered by the production of new collagen and elastin begins to take effect. It may take a full month to see full results from one treatment.
Most patients require 3 – 4 treatment sessions, depending on the type and severity of the skin condition being treated, to achieve optimal, long-lasting results.

How Long Will The Results last?

Because TWIST microneedling treatment stimulates the production of new collagen and elastin, results can last for many years. We recommend annual maintenance session to ensure continued results.

Is There Any Downtime?

After treatment, you can resume most regular activities, but we recommend refraining from any intensive physical activities for approximately 24 hours. For the first couple of hours, you may experience mild redness and swelling. These are normal and will disappear fairly quickly. After the treatment, do NOT wash your face for approximately two hours. Keep using the hydrating serum on the tiny holes created by TWIST for deeper penetration.
