Everything You Need to Know About Your First Brow Lamination

WHAT IS A BROW LAMINATION?

​​A brow lamination is a brow texture treatment to reshape & style the brows. It uses a chemical solution to break down the bonds in the hair, making them mouldable. After the hairs are brushed into the desirable position, a second solution rebuilds the bonds and locks in our new gorgeous shape! 

HOW DO I PREPARE FOR A BROW LAMINATION?

​Brow Lamination is a chemical process, meaning there are a couple of things we need to do & avoid to prepare for our appointment! 

• Avoid retinol, AHAs, and other exfoliants for at least 48 hours before your appointment.
• Avoid tweezing or waxing for at least a week prior so we have lots of hair to work with! 
• If you have ultra-sensitive skin, an allergy to hair colour, or other allergies, I always highly recommend booking a complimentary patch test 48 hours in advance where we can check for sensitivity or reactions. 
• Let your brow artist know of any skin conditions you may have!

HOW DO I TAKE CARE OF MY LAMINATED BROWS?

​Aftercare is the most crucial part of a lasting, gorgeous brow lamination. It is essential to avoid water for 24 hours after. This includes avoiding steam rooms, saunas, hot showers, & excessive sweating.

After 24 hours, those brows need HYDRATION. This means applying oil regularly! Think of a lamination like lightening your hair. Because it has gone through a chemical process, it needs a little extra TLC.
