Hi! I’m Miranda!
I have always had a passion for hair. In high school, I was always playing with my friends’ hair - styling, cutting, and colouring! I spent so many hours in front of the mirror trying out all sorts of braids, tutorials, and just getting creative. After high school, I went straight to university and let hair fall by the wayside. However, I wasn’t thriving and my dad actually encouraged me to quit university and go to hair school! It was with his support and encouragement I started pursuing my creative dreams in 2017. I loved hair school (no surprise there) and have been immersed in the industry ever since. I am now a Red Seal Journeyman Hairstylist with a passion for Creative Colours and Highlights. I love Creative Colours because I get to work outside the box and just have fun; I love how fun and eye-catching the results can be. Highlights are my other fave because I love dimension and blending. I feel like I get to create perfection when I do highlights - they always remind me of a perfect blended soft service ice cream cone! My goal as a stylist is to make my clients feel beautiful and like their best selves. I really appreciate that being a hairstylist makes it possible for me to be that person who is there through everything; I am a place to vent, a shoulder to cry, and always full of smiles and laughter. My clients really make my job the best job! |
Outside of the salon, you can find me reading, creating and always surrounded by plants! My roommates say that I have an addiction to buying plants, but they also say we have no more room for plants and I always seem to find space ... so I'm not sure they can be trusted! I have a small side business with my best friend called Mum Collective (@mum.collective) where we make earrings, hair clips, candles, key chains, and car dangles; we have so much fun creating and are always trying something new! If I am not creating with her or reading books, you can find me crocheting hats for my dogs (yes I am that person!).
