First things first, micro-needling is a medical procedure that should be done by a qualified Medical Aesthetician. That being said, I’m a fully certified Medical Aesthetician in many areas including micro-needling. I’ve been trained through one of the top schools in Canada and received my practical training under a licensed practicing physician in October of 2019. I’ve been obsessed with skin care, natural and cruelty free products for over 10 years which has lead me to where I am today. I practice out of Salon Society in the beautiful warehouse district of Regina, Saskatchewan. I am surrounded by my talented team, as well as creativity and community all around the salon! I mean HELLO Local market YQR, The Everyday Kitchen, Project Barre YQR, Sweet Pea & Noelle, Hillberg & Berk, Wheelhouse Cycle Club and SO many more. Anyway, I’m rambling (probably because I miss every business that I’ve listed since the Covid hit). Let’s talk micro-needling and why you should consider investing. Micro-needling, also known as Collagen Induction Therapy, is a minimally invasive procedure to stimulate the body’s natural healing process and healthy cell turn over. What the heck does this mean? Here’s some examples:
Did you know that our collagen starts to deplete around the age of 25? I know, read that again, cry a little and then come back. But trust me, I look at my kids with their perfect skin and no remaining lines after they laugh or glare or frown at me with serious envy. They really don’t know how lucky they are ;) Like I said earlier, micro-needling is a minimally invasive procedure that involves a pen with a disposable needle tip (yes disposable, because obviously one needle head per client treatment since we don’t want to be spreading any blood borne diseases). The needle speed and depth are 100% controlled by me. Depending on your treatment plan and treatment area, I will determine both or either settings. The Health Canada Approved needle pen works in a stamping motion which is visible to the naked eye as a vibration. This method prevents any cutting or tearing of the skin which would be damaging. (Circle back to the top about why you should research your aesthetician and their products/suppliers. There are cheap pens out there and you and your skin deserve the highest and safest quality). I should probably add, you are COMPLETELY NUMB with medical grade numbing cream. You don’t feel anything. It’s literally like a vibration massage. I’ve had many clients come in who are nervous and then tell me how surprisingly relaxed they are during and after the treatment. What to expect for your session:
Now of course with everything, there are some contraindications that need to be considered. Not everyone can be a candidate for this procedure. Please contact me directly with any questions, I’d love to help you on your skin healing journey.

I like how you mentioned that a deep cleansing of your face area could help protect and provide proper skin condition. My younger sister mentioned last night that she was looking for esthetics educators as she wanted to pursue her career in dermaplaning. She asked if I had any idea what would be the best learning option to consider. I appreciate this informative skincare article. I'll tell her she can consult a well-known dermaplaning training course as they can provide information about their services.
